Troop 2089 has the four best girls! Yesterday's meeting flew by and we only accomplished a portion of what Miss Pattie and I hoped to do. The weather was fantastic so we took to the outdoors and learned more about photography. We took photos of trees and flowers and objects and each other. We learned about avoiding shadows and how to get the best angles. These girls are well on their way to earning our first two badges, Camera Shots and Cyber Girl! By Christmas we should have both.
Our next 
meeting is in 13 days. The founder of Girl Scouts, Juliette Gordon Low was born on October 31, 1860. We will celebrate her and the history of Girl Scouting at that meeting. We hope to have a guest here who can tell us more about Girl Scouting 40-50 years ago. We should learn a lot and have a great time! Juliette saw how great scouting was for boys and felt it was important that girls had a similar opportunity to gather together, socialize, and learn. We are here today as a troop because of Juliette. As we learn about Juliette and from older Girl Scouts like Miss Pattie and I, we will also be earning a third badge, Girl Scouting in the USA.
